Weak and Needing God

Sometimes in our lives we can feel weak and defenseless, and that is

when we can become vulnerable to the enemies attacks. Satan can attack in many ways when you least expect it. He can use your friends, family, Television, and even people in church. He can use people to cause problems and they can bring you down and make it seem as if everything is falling apart. You see, the church is full of people and people are the problem. if there were no people in the church then there wouldn't be any problems, but without people there is no church. The church isn't just a building, the church is the people of God, we are the church.

Since we are the church, Satan will do everything he can to tear us down and exploit our weaknesses. When satan is at his worst, God will be there to help us. In Psalms 59:16 it is written, "But I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love; for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble." God will help us in our times of trouble, he will be our refuge and strength.

When you are fearful God is there.

Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him, "Teacher, don't you care if we drown?"  He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, "Quiet! Be still!" Then the wind died down and it was completely calm. He said to his disciples, "Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?" Mark 4:38

The disciples were afraid, the wind was strong and the waves were raging all around them. So, they turned to Jesus for help and that is what we are to do when we are afraid. There is nothing fear because God is always with you.

When you are sick God is there.

A large crowd followed and pressed around him. And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years. She had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better she grew worse. When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak, because she thought, "If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed." Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering. Mark 5:25-29

When you are sick, all you need is a touch from God and you will be healed. just have faith and beleive that it will be done.

When you are hopeless God is there.

When neither sun nor stars appeared for many days and the storm continued raging, we finally gave up all hope of being saved. After the men had gone a long time without food, Paul stood up before them and said: "Men, you should have taken my advice not to sail from Crete; then you would have spared yourselves this damage and loss. But now I urge you to keep up your courage, because not one of you will be lost; only the ship will be destroyed. Last night an angel of the God whose I am and whom I serve stood beside me and said, 'Do not be afraid, Paul. You must stand trial before Caesar; and God has graciously given you the lives of all who sail with you.' So keep up your courage, men, for I have faith in God that it will happen just as he told me.

When you feel that everything is falling apart and there is no end to your problem, turn to God. He will restore your hope and faith.

God will help in our time of need. when we are fearful, sick, and things seem hopeless God will be there, all you have to do is call on him and he will step in and take over. If you give him complete control over your life, there will be nothing to worry about. He is always with you and will always be there for you.
